St. Peter's Vestry:

As an Episcopal church, the vestry is the governing body of the parish.
The vestry therefore works with the rector for the
overall leadership responsibility of the parish.

St. Peter’s has a fifteen person vestry of which six are officers and nine are members.
The six vestry officers are elected for a year and are eligible for re-election each year
.
The nine vestry members serve a staggering three year term
each with three members going off the vestry at a time.

The rector is not a member of the vestry but serves as the presiding officer of the vestry.

All parishioners in good standing are eligible to be elected to the vestry.
The 2008 vestry election will take place on January 20, at the annual parish meeting.
